Unity Through Community is a family-run day opportunity for adults with Learning Difficulties.

 

Unity Through Community began as a vision to provide a safe and inclusive environment for adults with learning difficulties; a place for people to meet, enjoy and feel valued.​

We deliver a programme designed to build confidence and create friendships using a varied activity timetable, whilst promoting health, wellbeing and independence. 

 

 Run by a team of fully qualified and enthusiastic staff.

Our ethos:

We aim to, encourage, motivate and lead participants in building friendships through inclusive activities:

Our singing group - United Harmonies.

Sports teams and leagues.

Exercise classes and drama groups.

Community outreach.

Forest School and camping trips. 

Arts and Crafts.

Nature sessions.

'The Campus'

Which will have a hair and beauty salon, a gym, a social club, a cafe and a respite hotel.

Days out: all aboard and heading out for the day as a family.

Work experience programme: we believe if possible, it will help to build confidence and new friendships.

We want this community to feel like home to all who visit; staffed by a committed and passionate team who believe wholeheartedly in our vision, working hard to bring it to life.

 

However we are well aware that our activity programme might not suit all: therefore there will be scope for individual participation and quiet sessions/areas including:
